Packing for travel in our household is typically managed as follows:
- Dad - Packs electronics & work bag. Sometimes packs his clothes & shoes if he feels motivated.
- Kids - Pack backpacks with items they want to access during travel; beloved plushies, headphones, ipods, etc. They are also in charge of packing a small rolling bag with toys, books and games if space permits.
- Mom - Packs everything else, prepares the house for us leaving and reminds everyone else to turn off video games and put away comic books and focus on packing. FOCUS!
For our first long road trip in the Model 3, we loaded as much as possible the night before departure to make sure everything was going to fit. We are used to roadtripping in a minivan = small house on wheels, yet we managed to fit everything we packed on our first try! Woohoo!
